DINGHIES

Dinghies are the quickest and the most economic solution if you wish to reach some of the most beautiful or inaccessible beaches of Sardinia or even Corsica on your own or with he professional skipper and a local professional guide o learn a lo of deails abou the area or simply a hostess. The advantage is that the high speed of sailing. It is easy to reach the beach and get off / on. In some beaches there is a  passage for small boats that leads you safely to land. On some others you have to stop in a safe distance from the area reserved for people and you can reach the beach swimming. In this case you have to respect the safety distance indicated by white or yellow buoys.

Driving a dinghy:
The clients can drive on their own only small dinghies with a maximum power 40 Hp. The bigger ones are chartered with the skipper or to those who have a sailing driving licence. The captain can be booked also for the small dinghies as the seashore is very rangy and rocky and you do not feel to drive. The rental costs do not include fuel. You charter the dinghy with full tank and the consumption is always calculated at the end of charter. A half day charter lasts 4 hours (from 9 AM to 1 PM or from 3 PM to 7 PM). A full day charter lasts 8 hours (usually from 9 AM to 5 PM).

Other services:
On request he skippers provide fridge box with soft drinks and beer. Otherwise hey can advice some restaurants where to stop at lunch time and taste some delicious local specialities. However, he best way to learn about Sardinian coastline as much as possible is to book a professional guide or hostess on board.

Dinghies without skipper
For chartering small dinghies with an avarage lenght is form 4,5 to 5 m and usually for 2/4 people it is not necessary to have a nautical licence. The engine power does not have to exceed 40 hp. Sailing along the Sardinian coast, which is very rangy especially in the northern part of the island, requires high attention. In some places water is very shallow and there are many rocks under the surface of water. This is the reason why to sail slowly and be careful. Before starting the sailing you’ll be given some basic instructions. However, I suggest to book the expert guide and a skipper.
Dinghies with skipper
For driving the dinghies with more than 40 hp in Sardinia it is obligatory to have a nautical licence or they are rented with a professional skipper who know perfectly the coastline of Sardinia, the nearby islands and archipelagos and eventually he limesone coasts of Corsica.
There are some advantages for the clients: the skipper knows perfectly the whole sea shore and the nearby islands, you reach the destination without wasting time as the skipper chooses the best route, he can advice the most beautiful or less crowded sandy beaches.
The skipper saves your time and money for fuel as he follows the shortest route and avoids the dangerous, rocky points or shallows. In more you can start your sailing trip from the harbour you choose or from your hotel or villa if it situated directly on the seashore. It is possible to start sailing from Palau, Cannigione, Baja Sardinia, Poltu Quatu, Porto Cervo, Olbia, Golfo Aranci, San Teodoro, Porto Ottiolu, Cala Gonone, Arbatax, Tortolì, Costa Rei, Villasimius, Cagliari, Chia, Nora, Sant'Anioco, Bosa, Oristano, Alghero, Stintino, etc. In the area of the Gulf of Orosei the main and the most equipped port is a small, but marvellous village of Cala Gonone.
