Only a few chilometres off Alghero, there is a preserved area known as Porto Conte Natural Regional park.
Our suggestion is to make you discover this place with our professional guides that will explain to you the important features of the local history and the typical vegetation and will make your day safe and pleasant.
There is a beautiful one day walking excursion that starts near Alghero and takes you on the outstanding limestone cliffs of Capo Caccia. The vegetation is typical of limestone Mediterranean coasts, with, among others, perfumed mastic, lavender, elychrisum italicum, Phoenician Juniper and endemic Centaurea horrida (Centaurea horrida) or Limonium nymphaeus endemic in the North Sardinia.
In same parts the trekking is quite demanding, but the difficulty level changes very often so you will never get neither bored nor too tired.
The path will also pass next to Torre della Penya where the view is simply marvelous: on one side you will see the smooth landscape of Riviera del corallo (Coral Riviera) while on the other side the steep straight cliff is nearly scary.
Our excursion can also end near Dragunara bay where the sea water is transparent with shades from light blue to emerald green and you can take a swimm.
